Colorado Home Protection LLC

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation as an independent field scout or lead scout in the Colorado Home Protection LLC ("CHP," "we," "us") Scout Network. By accessing the Field Team Portal or performing any field activity on behalf of CHP, you agree to these Terms in full.
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, partner, or franchisee of Colorado Home Protection LLC. Nothing in these Terms or in your participation in the Scout Network creates an employment relationship. You are solely responsible for your own taxes, including self-employment taxes, and CHP will not withhold income tax, Social Security, or Medicare from any compensation paid to you.
You set your own schedule, choose your own methods (within these Terms), and operate at your own direction. CHP provides tools, training materials, and a booking platform; it does not control how, when, or where you conduct your outreach activities.
Your role is strictly limited to referring potential clientsto CHP's licensed insurance agent. Specifically:
Any violation of these restrictions may result in immediate removal from the Scout Network and forfeiture of any unpaid compensation.
Compensation is earned on a per-referral basis when a prospect you referred completes a qualifying consultation call (a "Showed Call"). Additional one-time bonuses are available for specific milestones as described below. All compensation amounts are set by CHP in its sole discretion and are subject to change with reasonable notice.
Qualifying Showed Call — Definition.A call qualifies as a "Showed Call" for compensation purposes only if all three of the following conditions are met:
Fast Start Bonus. A one-time bonus (currently $25) is automatically added to a scout's account when their very first Showed Call is logged. The Fast Start Bonus is paid in addition to the standard Showed Call payout, resulting in a combined first-show payout of $60 at current rates. The Fast Start Bonus is paid only once per scout account, regardless of the number of calls subsequently logged. CHP reserves the right to adjust, suspend, or discontinue the Fast Start Bonus at any time with reasonable notice; any adjustment applies prospectively only and does not affect a bonus already credited.
Conversion Bonus. When a referred prospect both attends a call and subsequently purchases a policy (a "Converted" call), an additional one-time bonus (currently $35) is automatically credited to the scout who referred that prospect. The Conversion Bonus is paid only once per converted call and only to the scout who booked the original referral. Conversion status is determined solely by the CHP licensed agent.
Recruiting Bonus. Scouts who recruit another individual into the Scout Network may receive a one-time recruiting bonus (currently $25) when their recruit completes their first Showed Call. Recruiting bonuses are subject to anti-gaming review (see Referral Integrity below) and may be withheld if the relationship between recruiter and recruit is determined to be artificial, circular, or otherwise designed to manufacture payouts.
Lead Scout Override. Scouts who achieve Lead Scout status ("captain" tier) earn an ongoing per-show override (currently $12.50) for each Showed Call logged by scouts they directly recruited, for as long as those scouts remain active. Override payouts are subject to the same fraud and integrity review as standard show payouts and may be withheld or reversed if the underlying Showed Call is determined to be fraudulent.
Elite Scout Bonus. A one-time bonus (currently $500) is automatically credited when a scout simultaneously satisfies all of the following conditions: (a) has accumulated 100 or more confirmed Showed Calls; (b) has successfully recruited at least oneactive scout into the Network; and (c) has been promoted to Lead Scout ("captain") tier. The Elite Scout Bonus is issued automatically by the CHP system upon the triggering event and is paid only once per scout account, regardless of future continued performance. CHP reserves the right to withhold or reverse the Elite Scout Bonus if, upon audit, any portion of the qualifying 100 Showed Calls is found to involve fraud, referral gaming, or material breach of these Terms. The $500 figure reflects the default compensation rate as of the date of these Terms and may be adjusted by CHP at any time; the amount applicable to a specific scout is the rate in effect at the moment the qualifying condition is first met.
Referral Integrity. Compensation is contingent on referrals being genuine — meaning the referred prospect is a real individual who independently agreed to schedule a consultation and attended of their own accord. Coordinated, staged, or otherwise fraudulent referrals (including, without limitation, arranging for friends, family members, or associates to attend calls solely to trigger a payout with no genuine interest in the product) constitute a material breach of these Terms. CHP reserves the right to audit any or all show determinations at any time and to withhold, reverse, or forfeit payouts where fraud or referral gaming is identified. A determination that fewer than 100 legitimate Showed Calls occurred after issuance of an Elite Scout Bonus authorizes CHP to recover that bonus amount from future payouts or demand repayment directly.
Verification of Homeownership. As part of any fraud or referral-gaming investigation, CHP or its licensed agents may request that a referred prospect provide documentation confirming they are a Colorado homeowner or mortgagor (for example, a mortgage statement, property tax notice, or title document). If the referred prospect fails to provide such documentation upon request within a reasonable time, CHP may treat the associated referral as unverified and withhold, reverse, or forfeit the payout tied to that call. Scouts have no right to appeal a withholding based on a referred prospect's failure to cooperate with verification.
General Payout Conditions. CHP reserves the right to adjust compensation rates, bonus structures, and payout schedules at any time with reasonable notice. All bonuses are discretionary incentive payments, not guaranteed wages or entitlements. Payouts are subject to a minimum balance threshold before release. New scouts are subject to an account verification hold period (currently 14 days, reduced to 7 days upon successful recruitment of another scout) on initial payouts. You are required to submit accurate W-9 tax information before any payout is issued. Failure to do so will result in a hold on all compensation until the information is received and verified.
Full access to the Field Team Portal is conditioned on completion of the onboarding checklist, which includes watching all required training modules and submitting your W-9 information. CHP reserves the right to modify the onboarding requirements at any time.
Through your access to the Field Team Portal, you may encounter non-public information about CHP's operations, compensation structures, client data, or business methods. You agree not to disclose such information to any third party without prior written consent from CHP.
Client information (including prospect names, contact details, and call records) is confidential and may only be used for the purpose of facilitating the referral relationship described in these Terms. You may not retain, copy, sell, or use client data for any other purpose.
You agree not to make any disparaging, defamatory, or misleading statements about Colorado Home Protection LLC, its agents, employees, or products, whether publicly or privately, during or after your participation in the Scout Network.
At-Will Arrangement. Your participation in the Scout Network is entirely at-will. CHP may suspend or terminate your account and Portal access at any time, for any reason or for no reason, effective immediately and without prior notice. CHP has no obligation to disclose, explain, or justify the reason for any suspension or termination, and no reason will be communicated unless CHP elects to do so in its sole discretion.
Your Right to Terminate. You may discontinue your participation at any time by ceasing all field activity. There is no formal exit process required on your part.
Effect of Termination. Upon termination or suspension for any reason: (a) your access to the Field Team Portal is immediately revoked; (b) your booking link is deactivated; (c) any unpaid compensation for calls that completed and qualified prior to the termination date remains payable subject to the standard hold and minimum threshold requirements in Section 3, except where termination is the result of fraud, referral gaming, or material breach of these Terms, in which case all unpaid compensation is forfeited in full; and (d) you must immediately cease all outreach activity on behalf of CHP, remove CHP branding from your personal profiles, and return or destroy any printed materials.
Termination resulting from fraud, referral gaming, staged calls, or material breach is permanent and non-appealable.
CHP makes no guarantee of any particular level of earnings. Compensation depends entirely on your individual effort, the quality and quantity of referrals you generate, and the conversion rates achieved by CHP's licensed agents. Past performance of other scouts is not a guarantee of your results.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CHP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your participation in the Scout Network or use of the Field Team Portal. CHP's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total compensation paid to you in the 30 days preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.
CHP may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Field Team Portal following notice of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
